Tasty And Healing Avocados
Avocados have gotten a real bad rap. Heck they’re nicknamed “butter pears”! Let me give you the healthy facts on those very tasty avocados that could help you fight killer heart disease, stroke, and deadly cancer.

A fat-laden avocado provides a whopping 300 calories, 30 grams of fat (HDL), soluble fiber, potassium, and a dose of Vitamin C, and Vitamins B2 and B6.

B Vitamins
All the B Vitamins aid to maintain:
- healthy eyes
- healthy hair
- healthy liver
- mouth
- muscle tone in the gastrointestinal tract
- healthy nerves
- healthy skin
B‑Complex Vitamins are coenzymes involved in energy production. B‑Complex Vitamins may be useful to combat depression or anxiety. The B Vitamins should be taken together.
Most of the fat in avocados is the healthy fat (monounsaturated). It’s the same good healthy fat found in olive oil and a variety of nuts.

Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social Study
According to a study at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social located in Mexico had 45 volunteers add avocados to their diet. After a week, the avocado-eating volunteers recorded a “significant drop” in total cholesterol and triglycerides. And at the same time their HDL levels increased (good cholesterol).
And avocados may help prevent deadly cancer. According to the Director at the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition, avocados are loaded with glutathione which is an antioxidant that fights disease causing free radicals. 1st Note: Monounsaturated fats (good fat) help lower bad LDL cholesterol, blood pressure and protect the arteries from arteriosclerosis (clogging of arteries). Monounsaturated fats are found in foods like avocadoes, canola oil, olives, olive oil, peanuts, and peanut oil.

2nd Note: I was doing some work in Ecuador. Every chance I got, I’d go to Quito, the capitol of Ecuador. The U.S. Embassy was located in Quito. Across or caddy-corner to the U.S. Embassy was a restaurant.
They made the most DELICIOUS AVOCADO SALAD on the entire planet. When I’d walk in there, they recognized me and already had the chef making my ‘Ensalada de Aquacate’ with French dressing.
You ain’t never seen a happier U.S. soldier in civilian clothes thousands of miles away from the mighty U.S. of A. If you ever visit Quito, Ecuador, go to that restaurant and order an ‘Ensalada de Aquacate’ with French Dressing.
