There are approximately 1,003,000 Home Invasions per year here in the United States:

If you wake-up to a home invasion in progress, you should already know the uninvited intruders have no regard for you and your family member’s safety, your property nor your civil rights. They are criminals and have already broken city ordinances and state laws.

You have the right to defend yourself and the obligation to defend all your family members to include your pets.

Here are the following actions you must do:

• The first thing you should do is call 911. If worst comes to worst, at least you know the police and emergency medical services are just minutes away.
• Maintain communications with the 911 operator
• Gather your family members in one room and barricade yourself
• Gather weapons (pistol, rifle,…) and / or off-the-cuff weapons to defend yourself (liquids, hand-held objects, thrown objects, cutting objects, stabbing objects,…)
• Behind your barricade, YELL at the intruder(s) that you called 911, the police are on the way and that you are armed and you will use your weapons to defend yourself and your family members (911 Operator records this) Repeat again and again.
• Escape out of your house to safety if possible
• If the intruder(s) is hurt by your actions, in my humble opinion, you must further incapacitate the intruder(s) to insure they are no longer a DEADLY THREAT to yourself and your family members.
• If possible, secure the intruder(s) with rope, cords, tape,… till the police arrive.
