THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH!

Most folks think the cockroach will be here long after we’re gone, but I’m gonna put my money on the rat. And it had to do with the rat’s exceptional mental faculties and the super protective shelters they chose to help them survive impossible conditions.

This amazing & “meek” creature has outright baffled the experts in this early discovery more than 70 years ago.

During the early portion of the cold war in the late 1940s when the US was testing their nuclear weapons – one particular island was repeatedly pounded by these weapons of mass destruction.

In the western Pacific, nuclear weapons were exploding – particularly on an island called Engebi. The continued nuclear blast destroyed all plant life, all animal life, all nearby marine life, even the dirt – the dirt was worthless – it was radioactive.

The US nuclear weapons proved their undisputable TOTAL destruction potential – or did they? Several years later when scientists inspected the island – guess what they found?

Rats – the island was full of rats! Vibrantly healthy rats! How? How did they survive the world’s most deadliest weapons of all time!

You’d think these rats would be deformed or something but they were vibrantly healthy! According to the task force assigned to investigate Engebi island in the 1950s, several years after the nuclear blasts, these rats were not genetically deformed or altered from the nuclear blasts that was supposed to disintegrate them in the first place but these rats had a healthy population and were vibrantly healthy!

How did they survive the IMPOSSIBLE? According to the task force, those thriving rats were smart – THEY BURROWED! THEY DUG UNDERGROUND SHELTERS TO SHIELD THEMSELVES from the deadly nuclear blast and sickly radiation poisoning!

Rats have adapted themselves (remember Improvise, Overcome and Adapt) – survived in all types of environments meaning you’ll find them all over the Earth. They have adapted themselves to all types of climates, all types of terrain, all types of adverse conditions. What other critter can make this same claim? I (author) can’t think of one single critter except for one other – man!

Because of their adaptability, and ability to improvise (keep reading) and overcome, rats may outnumber all humans on the Earth. The only other species that can make this claim are ants. Man with all his “higher intelligence” has tried all types of ingenious ways to eradicate the rat or at least try to control that curious critter.

But man has failed.   Is this critter smarter than most people and even scientist think? I say YES! I’ve always said ALL critters are smarter than we think they are and I say WE CAN ALL LEARN from all of them all the time!

BOTTOM LINE: Underground Shelters are probably the best overall shelters for protection against the elements and even nuclear weapons of mass destruction.  And I’m not only talking about underground shelters in the wilderness, how about underground shelters in the urban environments.  Most cities have a network of underground tunnels that go miles and miles in all directions.
