I’m trying to give you the idea of mass numbers of people. When I was a young soldier, it amazed me back then and still does today – the Annual 82nd Airborne Pass And Review at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Our Infantry Battalion would form-up and march towards the huge parade grounds more than 02 miles away. During that march, I’d see an ocean of maroon berets in front of me and behind me. Approximate 18,000 – 20,000 paratroops were marching and you could see the wave-like movement of the ocean of maroon berets as each company marched to its own cadence. Back then and still today, 18,000 – 20,000 paratroops – that’s a MASSIVE amount of people.
I can’t imagine 850,000 – 850,000 people – all deliberately & systematically murdered – 850,000 defenseless men, women, children and infants – all deliberately & systematically murdered. Here in the US, just the loss of one innocent life by one piece of sh!+ scum bag would bring the mighty wrath of the long-arm of the law to a 24-hour frenzy till the scumbag piece of sh!+ is captured.
The US of A has some outstanding intelligence agencies, assets,… that are supposed to be and are nosey on all our enemies, hot spots, and even our own allies every second of every day. President Clinton, Madeleine Albright (Secretary of State) and the rest of the higher ups denied they knew anything about what I call the “100 Days of Hell Here On Earth!”
THAT’S 120% PURE BULL SH!+. To be in power and stay in power, Powerful Leaders, leaders are IN-THE-KNOW on EVERYTHING – EVERYTHING. Now get this, in the United States of America alone, there are 16 Spy Agencies, 16 Spy Agencies, then throw in the spy agencies of our allies. And who knows how many sub-spy agencies exist. That’s a lot of spying eyes all over the world to include Rwanda.
The US leadership, they ALL knew what was going on from the very beginning. If the President truly didn’t know, the intelligence agencies, assets,… were probably ordered to keep him out of the loop so his Administration could look the other way so not to deploy US combat troops cause it would take combat troops to stop the 100 days of massacres. But WHO is the ONLY person with authority to keep the President out of the loop? The President himself.
Bottom Line: The US leadership denied they knew anything. They knew, they knew because that’s their job is to KNOW EVERYTHING! POWER is KNOWLEDGE so you can control world events. Again, the US of A alone, has 16 Spy Agencies and the cooperation of all our ally spy agencies – THEY KNEW EVERYTHING from even before the start of 100 Days of Hell Here On Earth. More on this later, now let’s get to the 100 Days of Hell Here On Earth.
On 06 April 1994, 100 Days Of Hell Here On Earth started and averaged more than 354 brutal murders PER HOUR every 24-hours for 100 days! Again, 354 brutal murders PER HOUR every 24-hours for 100 days! The experts estimate between 800,000 to 850,000 brutal murders.
On 18 July 1994 the RPF (Rwanda Patriotic Front) defeated the Rwanda government forces and supporters and the 100 Days Of Hell Here On Earth finally ended.
Now let’s go back in time and advance forward to better understand the 100 Days Of Hell Here On Earth.
1918—Under the Treaty of Versailles, Ruanda-Urundi (now Rwanda & Burundi) are Belgian protectorates and are under two separate Tutsi monarchs.
1926—Belgians use identity cards to differentiate Tutsis and Hutus.
1959—Tutsi king – Mwaami Rudahigwa dies and Hutus rebel against Tutsis. Thousands of Tutsis die and many more flee to neighboring countries.
1962—Rwanda gains their independence from Belgium. Tutsis are killed throughout Rwanda and many more flee to Uganda. Hutus come to power and rule the country.
1963—More Tutsi are massacred by Hutus.
1967—More Tutsi massacres.
1973—More Tutsi killings. General Juvenal Habyarimana seizes power.
Oct. 1990—Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) – guerrillas (para-military forces) are formed and invade Rwanda from Uganda.
1990 – 1991—Rwandan Army trains civilian militia called the Interahamwe (many took part in the 100 Days Of Hell Here On Earth).
1991 – 1992—France exported more than $6,000,000 of weapons to the Rwanda Government. Weapons included mortars, light artillery, armored cars and helicopters.
1992 – 1994—The Chinese Oriental Machinery Company exported more than $4,600,000 of weapons to Rwanda Government. Weapons (not used for agriculture) included:
- 581,000 machetes
- hundreds of thousands of axes, hoes and maize (corn) cutters.
Aug 1993—After months of negotiations, the Arusha Accords in Tanzania bring proposed power sharing to both the Hutus and Tutsis.
Sep. 1993 – Mar. 1994—President Habyarimana stalls the power-sharing. Militia training intensifies and Radio Mille Collines makes broadcasts for Hutus to kill Tutsis.
03 Oct. 1993—18 US Army Rangers were killed in action in Mogadishu, Somalia. This may have haunted the Clinton Administration.
05 Nov. 1993—Belgians confirmed that a meeting took place at Hotel Rebero and led by Habyarimana (Rwandan President). Grenades, machetes and other weapons were issued to Interahamwe (para-military) and CDR youth (Coalition for the Defense of the Republic).
11 Jan. 1994—Major General Dallaire, sent a message from an FAR () insider revealing “paid RF () 150,000 a month to train the Interahamwe by the MRND (National Revolutionary Movement for Development).” Also reported several weapons caches.
15 March 1994—The CIA prepared a report that if the situation in Rwanda worsened, as many as 300,000 to 500,000 people could be killed. This report never made it senior policy makers (???????).
Note: The President of the United States gets a daily Intelligence Briefing on not only the national security of the United States but on worldwide events, cause worldwide events directly or indirectly affect US interest. No doubt, the Rwandan massacres were in there somewhere in those daily briefs – not once but 100+ times. Remember, the massacres totaled “100 Days Of Hell Here On Earth!” That’s 100+ briefings before, during and after the brutal massacres.
06 Apr. 1994—Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana and Burundian President Cyprien Ntaryamira and their Cabinet members were murdered as their plane was shot down while on approach to Kigali International Airport (Rwanda).
06 Apr. 1994—Massacres of Tutsis and assassinations of political personnel across Rwanda began later in the evening.
07 April 1994—10 UN (United Nations) Belgian peacekeepers protecting female Prime Minister Agathe, were surrounded by Hutus and ordered to surrender their arms. The 10 UN peacekeepers surrendered their weapons, were apprehended and chopped-up to death by Hutus. Their body parts were thrown in a pile. Prime Minister Agathe was captured and executed.
“by noon on the 7th, they were going house to house…they killed some people on the spot but carried others away to a mass grave near the airport where they cut off their arms and legs and finally massacred them, as observed by the UNMOs (United Nations Military Observers).”

09 Apr. 1994—In a surprise military operation, approximately 1,000 French and Belgium paratroopers (possibly as many as 1,500 paratroopers) suddenly arrived and seized Kigali International Airport. These troops were not under any UN command. Their mission was to evacuate Belgium and French citizens.
10 Apr. 1994—US Embassy closes and remaining American citizens are evacuated south to Burundi. Carl Wilkins, a US Embassy employee, courageously decided to stay behind. He bravely sheltered Tutsis in his home. He is the only American in Rwanda. You must read “Angry!” at the end of this segment.
11 Apr. 1994—The International Red Cross estimates tens of thousands of Rwandans have already been murdered.
“Interahamwe militia raped 250,000 women and children, leaving more than 70 percent HIV positive.”

15 Apr. 1994—Approximately 5,000 Tutsis gathered at a Catholic Church in Murambi (north of Kigali) because they thought the Church was a safe haven. No harm will come to anyone in a church they thought. Government soldiers along with Interahamwe militia surrounded the church. Shots were fired followed by the militia with their machetes. The slaughter was sickening.
Men, women and children were hacked to death. Only one survivor – Valentina Iribagiza, lived to tell her horrible story. She initially hid under bleeding bodies. At night, dogs would come into the Church to eat the bodies. Valentina hid in a small room for 43-days.
20 Apr. 1994—Belgian withdraws its contingent of peacekeepers. Approximately 270 peacekeepers remained in Rwanda under the command of Major General Romeo Dallaire.

21 Apr. 1994—The International Committee for the Red Cross estimates 250,000 Rwandans have been killed.
29 Apr. 1994—Approximately 250,000 refugees fled into western Tanzania.

20 May 2008—The International Committee for the Red Cross estimates 500,000 Rwandans have been killed.
“Infants were picked up by their feet and thrown against walls, others were thrown alive into latrines, pregnant women had the fetuses cut out of their stomachs,…”
“All Tutsi men, women and children were rounded up and moved to the church…. Then the gendarmes (national police force) welcomed in a large number of civilian militiamen with machetes and handed over the victims to their killers. Methodically and with bravado and laughter, the militia moved from bench to bench, hacking with machetes. Some people died immediately, while others with terrible wounds begged for their lives or the lives of their children. No one was spared. A pregnant women was disembowelled and her fetus severed. Women suffered horrible mutilation. Men were struck on the head and died immediately or lingered in agony. Children begged for their lives and received the same treatment as their parents.”
“The torture methods used to kill victims were so widely known amongst the population that individuals, if they had the money, often paid the killers to be finished off quickly with a bullet rather than slowly hacked to death with a [machete].”
“Interahamwe militia forced parents to bury their children alive, and as the children tried to dig themselves out of the pit, the parents were forced to beat them with the shovels and continue covering them with dirt or risk the murder of the entire family.”

04 July 1994—The RPF (anti-government forces) overran and forced the killers from Rwanda, thus finally stopping the massacres of Tutsis.
Aug. 1994—Peacekeeping troops and armored carriers arrive in Rwanda.
Dec. 1994—UN establishes an International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda to prosecute those responsible for the genocide.
May God Almighty accept the 850,000 Tutsis, Hutu supporters and other victims of the 100 Days Of Hell Here On Earth in Heaven for they’ve already been through hell. And may He send the murdering killers and supporters of the 100 Days Of Hell Here On Earth straight to hell for eternity.

Authors Comments: It’s easy to comment after the fact. But the facts are the Clinton Administration could have and should have STOPPED the murders of 850,000 Tutsis and supporters. To say they “didn’t know” is ridiculous – it’s a COWARDLY LIE. Let’s cover some options to gather information so to stop the massacres. Again, to say they “didn’t know” is a cowardly lie.
a) SATRAN: SATRAN (satellite) sources can read the small writing on a pack of cigarettes from space orbit, no doubt these same satellites could see the THOUSANDS of groups of slain Tutsis all over Rwanda. They’d spend days just counting the bodies!!!
b) Intercepts: Telephone calls from Hutu leadership can easily be intercepted.
c) Jamming: The radio station – Radio Mille Collines – dictating the murder of Tutsis could have easily been jammed.
d) Refugees: What about thousands of refugees? A great source information.
e) US Embassy Staff: The entire US Embassy was ordered to evacuate the Embassy and leave the country. Only one staff member decided to stay behind (see “Angry” at the end of this blog post). How can the Clinton Administration say “we didn’t know” yet they ordered the entire Rwanda US Embassy staff to evacuate the Embassy and leave the country?
f) French and Belgium Paratroopers: As you already read, a surprise military operation, approximately 1,000 French and Belgium paratroopers (possibly as many as 1,500) suddenly arrived and seized Kigali International Airport. These paratroopers were not under any UN command. Their mission was to evacuate Belgium and French citizens. Now they knew the seriousness of the situation and got in Rwanda and completed their mission. Nothing against the French and Belgium militaries, but they’re impotent compared the wrath of the United States military. Clinton could have easily ordered US military assets into Rwanda and completely overwhelmed and decimated the Hutus in just hours or a couple days at the most. THUS – 850,000 Tutsi lives saved.
g) Arms & Supplies: The RPF (rebel Tutsi forces) could be discreetly armed with more weapons, ammunition,… Supplies of all sorts can be air dropped. All this so to take the fight even quicker to the Rwandan government, the Interahamwe (militia),…
h) AWACS: Place a few US military on the ground with the RPF and with the “eyes” of an AWACS plane or 02, the RPF can deliver pinpoint mortar fire on Hutu groups, Interahamwe militia,…
i) Intelligence: Intelligence can be discreetly forwarded to rebel forces so to execute their military operations with great effectiveness and quick defeat of the Rwandan government, thus quickly ending the massacres.
j) Arm Tutsi Civilians: Discreetly arm Tutsis so they can half-way defend themselves.

As I stated before, the job of the many intelligence agencies and groups of the US intelligence community are to gather information. If the Clinton Administration (Clinton, Albright, Joint Chiefs,…) didn’t know (I seriously doubt it), they gave the order to keep them out of the loop (I seriously doubt it). And who is the only person that can order them to keep ‘him – them’ out of the loop.
If they have any heart / conscious left if at all, I’m sure it haunts them. And no doubt there are hundreds that worked with intelligence at that time, that knew EXACTLY what was going on in Rwanda and it haunts them to this day.
Most countries can’t possibly intervene to stop the mass massacres of Rwanda. BUT THE POWERFUL MIGHTY United States Of America HAS THE MILITARY MIGHT, HAS THE MILITARY RESOURCES TO STOP IT REAL QUICK. For example, you got America’s Elite just waiting, just begging to go ‘take care of business’: Let’s start with the famous 82nd Airborne.

82nd Airborne: I myself (author) spent 03 ½ -years in the Infantry with the 82nd Airborne. In Fort Bragg North Carolina there are approximately 18,000 to 20,000 paratroops. And they have what is called a DRF1, DRF2. DRF stands for Division Ready Force. A Battalion of DRF1 (several hundred paratroops) are packed and loaded and ready to go 24-hours a day with a DRF2 (several hundred more paratroops) right behind them. All they have to do is load-up the several planes and take-off.
And in a matter of hours they’re dropping out of the sky anywhere on Earth to include any vehicles or armor & indirect fire support vehicles. Just the rumor that a Battalion or 02 Battalions of infantry paratroops are on the way, would certainly have the coward killers and leadership running for the border of their choice, thus stopping the mass killings.

US Army Rangers: Here you got Infantry on STEROIDS. You have multiple Ranger Battalions (03) that are highly trained and just begging to take the fight to the murdering Hutus. They’d of stopped the murdering probably before they got there if word was leaked they were coming.

Navy SEALs: Send in a team or two of Navy SEALs and them Hutus would throw down their machetes and head for the jungle.

Marine Force Recon: These small killer teams could not only pinpoint their enemy but eliminate them discreetly and just go on to the next target.

Army Special Forces: Now trust me on this one, I spent most of my military career with the Special Forces. Multiple A-Teams of Green Berets could not only conduct direct action missions (raids, ambushes, assassinations, abductions, gather intel,..) against the Hutus but train-up, equip, and pay the thousands and thousands of Tutsi guerillas in a very short period of time and take the fight to the Hutus like right fu%$n’ now!

Army Delta Force: Let these guys loose on the Hutus. These ‘Killin’ Machines’ would raise so much holy hell, the Hutus would swear they were surrounded and being attacked by killer ghost. I’ve been associated with all the Spec Ops in the US of A and Spec Op units in the Mid-East and Central & South America. In my humble opinion, Delta Force are absolutely the most professional and ‘quiet’ soldiers I have ever worked with.

US Air Force: Using any of the assets above, they could have called-in and directed the UNDISPUTABLE MIGHTY WRATH of the United States Air Force and deliver pinpoint ‘right on the money’ strikes on Hutu leadership targets and Hutu paramilitary units & bands of thug gangs throughout Rwanda.

They claim “we didn’t know.” The US of A information gathering machine works every split second of everyday – non-stop. Now let’s learn a couple survival tricks used during this terrible time in history. Let’s start with Rwanda Swamp Evasion.
Rwanda Swamp Evasion: Tutsi survivors evaded into the swamp for it provided plenty of cover and concealment from the searching Hutus. Hutu killers knew this and searched the swamps for any evaders. At early morning dark hours, some evaders would return to their homes to search for food and return to the safety of the swamps before dawn.

Rwanda Playing Dead: A few Tutsi survivors hid under the murdered bodies of family and friends. Pretending death, they lay motionless covered in the blood of the slain piled on top of them. Taking no chances, they’d lay still long after the murderers left the site. Here’s one account from a survivor:
“The children came out first and had only reached the door when they started macheting them. When they saw what was happening to their children, the mothers who had tried to get up instinctively fell to the ground. I was underneath one of these women, still naked. The Interahamwe came in and started beheading the women. One of the heads fell on my back. They went around to see if anybody might still be breathing.
If they found someone alive, down came the machete which ended their life. The blood of many of these women was pouring all over me. They could not see me; my head was completely underneath the body of another women. Since the rest of me was soaked in blood, they thought I was dead.”

Rwanda Rebel Soldier Inspection: The murdering Hutus were cowards of cowards but they weren’t stupid. They knew RPF rebel soldiers (man, woman, or child) may be infiltrating or evading across Rwanda. So at checkpoints they checked specific clues that only soldiers would give off. I thought this might be interesting especially for you soldiers out there that may find yourself evading or inspecting for evaders one day in the future.
a) Legs: Legs would be checked for any signs of bootmarks (rings around lower legs,…) meaning the soldiers were wearing bloused military boots with pant legs tucked into the boots..
b) Backs: Shirts were pulled off to see if the person showed any signs of straps on his back and shoulders meaning the soldier was recently carrying a military rucksack.
c) IDs: Identification cards were checked for forgeries. Some Tutsis had forged credentials showing they were Hutus.
d) Baggage: Baggage was dumped and inspected for any signs of military combatants.

Could this massacre of massacres be repeated in the future? Sure it could. But only to a civilian populace who are defenseless – who aren’t armed.
