I’m (author) a strong believe in everyone having the right to defend themselves. Yes, that includes children. I believe even children have the right to defend themselves.  Here are ’13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere.’

Now let me tell you about weapons you should consider to defend yourself in your home, your city and in wilderness environments.

Pistol:  Of all the ’13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere’ a high calibre pistol is a MUST.  A pistol is small hand-held weapon with several to many rounds of ammunition and can be carried on your person or secured in hidden place so you have access to it 24/7. There are many types of pistols with different types of ammunition. Pistols have a maximum effective range of approximately 25-meters (82-feet). The price of a pistol can range from $100 to several hundred dollars. What you pay for is what you get.

Here’s my choice of pistols and here’s the TRUE story behind it.

In 1978, I re-entered the US Army and tried out for the US Army Special Forces (Green Berets) – ‘Q Course.’ I made it and years later, I was assigned to the Weapons Committee at Fort Bragg, NC. Weapons Committee teaches a 02-month course on all types of weapons (pistols to anti-aircraft) to Special Forces Weapons candidates going through the Q Course.

One day (Spring / Summer of 1984 I think) while we were on the range, a ‘gun runner’ – a good guy, a retired Army Lt. Colonel, came out and gave us a 9mm Glock pistol. There were 06 of us Weapons cadre out there. He told us to shoot the heck out of this Glock. He told us:

  • Shoot as many rounds as you want
  • DON’T oil it
  • DON’T clean it
  • Let me know of any malfunctions

Well that’s exactly what we did. Being cadre in the Special Forces Weapons Committee, we always had access to any weapons we wanted and all the ammunition we wanted for our training.

We shot the heck out of that 9mm Glock pistol. I expected it to start messing up and malfunction cause we never applied any oil to it nor cleaned it as instructed.

After firing at least several hundred rounds through that 9mm Glock, it NEVER malfunctioned a single time. I’ll never forget it. We ABUSED that pistol and it kept on shooting.

My Only Choice Of Pistol!

So my choice of pistol is a P22 .40 caliber Glock with factory installed night sights (they glow 24/7). The .40 caliber is the width of the bullet. It’s .40 inches wide – almost an ½-inch wide. Caliber is an American measurement while bullets measure in ‘mm’ – millimeter are metric measurements.

In my humble opinion, the .40 caliber bullet has almost the speed of a 9mm bullet yet the knockdown power similar to the powerful and famous .45 caliber bullet. The .40 caliber bullet can be purchased in ‘plinking rounds’ – for target practice or more expensive rounds for actual defense. Plinking rounds will still kill a person.

Later in this segment, I give you – “Home Invasion Self-Defense!”

Assault Rifle:  Another weapon you should consider for self-defense is an Assault Rifle. The Assault Rifle has the range between the maximum range of a pistol (25-meters) to the minimum range of most rifles (125-meters).

Most Assault Rifles have a magazine that holds 30-rounds. However, with the new gun laws, each state will have their own laws concerning the legality of owning an assault rifle and how many rounds can be loaded in a single magazine. Most assault rifle are now configured to be more compact so they can be used in close-in fighting (CQB – Close Quarter Battle).

An assault rifle that shoots 5.56mm ammunition is ABSOLUTELY LETHAL. That 5.56mm bullet is speeding down range at approximately 853 meters (2,800 feet) per second!!

My point to all of this is ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have a Primary and Secondary weapon and even a third self-defense weapon too (see Industrial Mace at the end of this segment).

Now let’s carry-on to field-expedient weapons when venturing outdoors.

Field-Expedient Weapons:  Weapons must be constructed as soon as possible in order to give YOU the survivor a sense of security and protection from any threat in the survival area\site. A weapon may aid in vanquishing fear. The Two Greatest Enemies Of Survival are FEAR and PANIC. Construct a field expedient weapon(s) in order to avoid these enemies of survival. You’re in-charge, you’re the KING of your new domain – your survival area – your survival site! Build your weapons and defend your new land, your property your right to survive!

Now we’ll discuss the following Field-Expedient Weapons for use in a survival environment:

01) PVC Pipe Blow Gun and Darts
02) Rabbit Sticks
03) Atlatl
04) Bola
05) Forked Walking Stick – Staff
06) Sling Club

Ingredients Needed for Blow Gun & Darts:
a) Blow Gun – 05 to 06-foot CPVC pipe at ½-inch diameter.
b) Darts – Paper, #10 galvanized nails, Elmer’s Glue-All, ¾-inch invisible tape, scissors or knife, cotton, leaves… You can get a pound (50 nails) of #10 galvanized nails for about $1.06.

How to build a Blow Gun:
a) CPVC Pipe – CPVC (poly vinyl chloride – khaki in color) pipe can be readily purchased at any hardware store for about $2.35 for 10-feet (02 Blow Guns). CPVC pipe that is cut too short or too long may not have the high velocity needed for consistent accuracy and lack the penetration needed to neutralize your small game.

b) River Cane \ Bamboo – Field-expedient blow guns can be made from River Cane or bamboo. Find a piece about 05 to 06-feet in length with a diameter of ½-inch.

The field expedient blow guns may need to be straightened. This is done over hot coals. Once the River Cane or bamboo is straightened, it should be maintained in that position while cooling.

To “smooth bore” the interior wall joints must be removed. One technique is to split the River Cane or bamboo in half (length-wise). Once this is done, grind away at the joints till the joint is smooth.

Once the hollow tubes are “smooth bored,” glue the two halves together and bound them with string, rawhide… One important thing is to insure the blow gun is airtight to insure its effectiveness. Air-leaks anywhere in the blowgun will dramatically reduce its velocity.

How to build and use the Darts:

a) Darts for CPVC pipe Bow Gun – Constructing a Blow Gun from CPVC pipe and the following materials for darts can be a deadly combination for that small game in a survival situation. I’ve constructed the following Blow Gun and Darts and have found it more effective in target engagement and penetration than any Blow Gun I’ve used or have knowledge of. This is a very effective blowgun!

Paper Darts –

01) Take a #10d coated sinker nail and half-way down it, start taping it (1/2 invisible tape) upward at a 45-degree angle towards the head of the nail till it’s 1/2 inch past the head of the nail. You’ll have to make 03-04 wraps, one on top of the other to form a sturdy cone. The cone will start forming once the tape wraps over the head of the nail.

What you’re trying to form is a cone foundation. This will be the foundation for the paper cone – dart. The cone you’re building will catch and hold the forced air and propel the dart out of the Blow Gun at high velocity.

Important:  When you start taping the nail, make sure the tape is firmly wrapped around the nail.

02) Next take a piece of paper and cut it so the dimensions are 01-inch by 07-inches. You’re going to wrap this paper around the cone-shaped invisible tape.

The end of the paper that you’ll start to wrap around the invisible tape – cut it at a 45-degree angle. This will form a start-point for your wrap – as you begin your 45-degree wrap, the paper cut would be aligned with the length of the nail.

Take some glue and lightly cover the paper and then start forming a cone around the invisible tape. Stop about 01-inch past the head of the nail. YOU SHOULD HAVE A NICE CONE-WRAPPED around the nail!

IMPORTANT:  The diameter of the cone should be greater than the diameter of your CPVC pipe. It will be cut down to a perfect size later.

03) Next, you’ll need to permanently secure the taped cone to the nail. To do this place the dart in a vertical position so that the nail-end is pointing down and the and the paper is pointing up. Use any objects to hold the dart in a vertical position. Once its vertical, take your glue and pour about 05 teaspoons of glue or enough glue so that it’s 1/4 inch below the head of the nail. Allow the glue to dry for a day (at least 24-hours). For best results 05 full days is best (depending on air temperature, humidity…)!

04) Once the glue is dry, place the dart in the CPVC pipe Blow Gun. Insure it is facing straight-down the pipe. Carefully draw line where the dart meets the very edge of the pipe. What you’re doing is forming the dart so that it is perfectly matched for the diameter of the PVC pipe. Once you’ve drawn the line, CAREFULLY cut just above the line to rid excess paper. Once you cut-off the excess paper, place the dart in the pipe, you’ll find that the dart is still a little bit too large. So carefully cut very thinly around the outer edge of the dart.

IMPORTANT:  If you cut too much paper, you’ve gone too far and have to start from scratch or buy a smaller diameter CPVC pipe!

Once again, place the dart in the blow gun. If it barely fits in the pipe, you may have a good dart!

To test the dart, go to an isolated safe place outdoors. Set-up a target such as ¾-inch plywood against a tree. From 25-meters away, place the dart in the Blow Gun, aim and forcefully blow (take a deep breath, place tongue on the opening to block the air, build-up the pressure in the mouth, and bring the tongue in) into the Blow Gun.

The dart should fly to its intended target at a high velocity and it should easily penetrate the ¾-inch plywood. You may want to sharpen the points of the darts.

Other Darts –

01) Leaves. Simply cut fresh leaves so that they’re about 02-inches long by ½-inch. Place the center of the leaf through the nail and slide it to the head. Place a second one and position it so that it’s at a 90-degree angle from the first piece.

Add another piece of leaf so that it bisects the previous two pieces. What you’ve just made is a field-expedient dart that uses pieces of leaves to capture the forced air and propel it out of the Blow Gun at a high speed.

02) Cotton. Use small pieces of elongated cotton in the same fashion as stated above using leaves.

03) Cloth. Yes, you can use cloth too. There are many more items you can use. It’s all around you! IMPROVISE, OVERCOME and ADAPT! See Instructions below.

Hey, here’s a way to make some POWERFUL CLOTH DARTS SUPER FAST without my previous instruction of making paper darts.

Ingredients:  #10 galvanized nails (50), old cloth T-Shirt and scissors.

Step 01:  Take you old T-Shirt and cut-out a strip of T-Shirt that’s ½-inch wide and 04-inches long.

Step 02:  Take you old T-Shirt and cut-out 02 more strips the same dimensions.

Step 03:  Now we have 03 strips of T-Shirts the same size. Now fold one of the strips in half and place the center of it on the tip of the nail. Now pull the strip down the nail till you have it secured to the nail and now have 02, 02-inch tails hanging from the base of the #10 nail.

Step 04:  Repeat Step 03, except stagger the all 03 strips so all the 06 tails cover completely around the base of the #10 nail. The 06 tails will form-up to give an airtight seal while the dart (#10 nail & strips of cloth T-shirt) speeding down the 05-foot PVC pipe blowgun.

Step 05:  Now load the dart in the rear end of the blowgun. Take all 06 tails and gently stuff them in behind the base of the nail. Take a deep breath and shoot the dart at your intended target. You will be VERY SURPRISED at the velocity and the range of this Cloth Dart.   OK, now let’s carry-on with Rabbit Sticks.

MOST IMPORTANT NOTE:  Once you launch your darts, if you find the darts velocity is too slow, your 06 cloth tails may be long or too short. Re-make the cloth darts till you get the right length and I guarantee them darts will surprise you with their speed and penetration on impact.

Ingredients Needed To Build Rabbit Sticks:  A curved stick about 12 to 24 inches long. Or a 12 to 24-inch straight stick that is slightly weighted on one end.

How To Use the Rabbit Stick:  The Rabbit Stick is best used for small game. However, Catawba Indians were able to break the legs of running dear. This would slow it down so they could eventually kill it later on.

The Rabbit stick is best thrown side-armed. This is to give it a horizontal flight so to give it the best opportunity to engage a weak spot on the intended wild game while it’s standing, walking or running.

The curved portion Rabbit Sticks and weighted Rabbit Sticks gives the stick additional momentum – thus higher velocity for a more forceful impact on the intended wild game. Practice should be included to insure effectiveness in capturing wild game using either type of Rabbit Stick.

Ingredients Needed to Build an Atlatl:  A spear made from a branch approximately 06 to 07-feet long by 1/4 to ½-inch in diameter at the base and narrowing at its pointed and sharpened end (can be heat treated).

How To Use The Atlatl:  The Atlatl is the “throwing board” for the spear (lightweight). Instead of throwing the spear the conventional way, it is launched by a small base-board below the spear. The Atlatl is approximately 02-inches wide by 15-inches long.

One end is cupped so to securely hold the end of the spear during the forward rotation of the Atlatl to launch the spear. The other end is grasped by the throwing-hand.

It is launched by moving the throwing-hand forward like throwing a football. The Atlatl is quickly rotated forward and downward to a vertical position and followed through propelling the spear to its intended destination (wild game).

Using the Atlatl, a spear can be launched a full 120-yards versus 90-feet by throwing it by arm!

Would you like Atlatl detailed information, plans, kits or a ready-made equipment?

Ingredients Needed to Build a Bola:  The necessary ingredients for a Bola are 03 strands of ¼-inch cordage or thick string, or rawhide. The length of each strand should be the length of the throwers arm or about 20-inches, 03 01-pound weights (equal in size), 03 pouches (leather, cloth…) to accommodate each weight and a heavy duty sewing needle and nylon thread.

How To Build And Use The Bola:  Take the 03 strands of cordage, string or rawhide, even them up and securely tie them together at one end.

Next, take your three weights and place them in their respective pouches. Take your sewing needle and thread and sew the weights inside their respective pouches.

Next, securely sew each pouch to one of the strands of ¼-inch cordage, rawhide…

The Bola is used to “wrap, tangle & tie-up” the legs, wings… of wild game. It does this as the Bola thrown toward its intended wild game, the 03 strands are spread in flight. Once the Bola hits its intended target, due to the momentum of each of the three strands, they begin to change direction which causes the strands to “wrap, tangle & tie” around the wild games legs, wings…

The Bola is thrown by placing your index and middle-finger of your throwing-hand in between the 03 strands – separating them. They must be separated so that once the Bola is in-flight, the 03 strands are spread (not tangled).

To throw the Bola, swing it above your head in an arc, aim & release it at your target (legs & wings). The three strands of the Bola should spread. The weights will do this. Once the Bola makes contact, it will “wrap, tangle & tie-up” around the wild game’s legs, wings…

'13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere.'

Ingredients Needed to Build a Forked Walking Stick:  The Forked Stick must be at least as tall as the person using it and at least 01 1/2-inches in diameter! The reason for these dimensions is to keep any wild game at bay at a somewhat safe distance. The width of 01-inch will give your walking stick durability. PLUS, a green Forked Walking Stick has far more durability and flexibility than a dry / breakable Forked Walking Stick.

Durability to use as a weapon, support while walking, support psychologically, to use as a tool… The forked portion of the walking stick is used as a weapon and to secure or pin snakes while you cut their head off (food).

Unless you’re an international snake expert – in a survival situation, treat ALL snakes as if they were poisonous.

How to build and use the Forked Walking Stick: To build a Forked Walking Stick, try using a hard wood if available (oak, maple, walnut…). Pick a large branch (06 ft. by 01 1/2-inches) that is straight as possible!

Strip the Walking Stick of all branches and carefully cut-off all the branch joints so that you have a smooth Walking Stick. There is no need to strip off the bark. Your Walking Stick can also be used as a calendar – just carve the start date of your survival situation and carve small notches for each day thereafter!

Be careful if you’re bored and you find yourself carving-up your Forked Walking Stick with designs – it will actually weaken it as a weapon – a weapon that could save your life.

Having weapons in a survival situation is very important! Psychologically it is a must! REMEMBER, the deadliest enemies of survival are FEAR & PANIC! Weapons can no doubt give you that edge to put you in-charge, in-command of your domain! Also, there is nothing wrong with carrying more than 02 or more weapons on your person while in a survival situation.

'13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere.'

Ingredients Needed to Build a Sling Club:  To build a Sling Club, you’ll need an oblong 03 – 05-pound rock, a durable stick about 17-inches long and 01 1/2-inches thick, and a piece of lashing or string about 20-inches long.

How To Build And Use The Sling Club:  Take one end of your stick and carve a groove about 01-inch from the top. This shallow groove should be cut completely around the top of the stick. This groove is used to seat the string or lashing you’ll use.

Next tie string or lashing to the stick and to the rock having a distance of about 07-inches between the stick and the rock.

The Sling Club may be a more lethal weapon in a survival situation than a regular club because the rock upon impact is more lethal because of the great momentum when the rock is propelled under the downward movement of the stick – being pulled by the string.

'13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere.'

Ingredients Needed to Build a Club:  There are two clubs you should be aware of .  One is a Simple Club and the other is a Weighted Club. The Simple Club (17-inches long by 01 ½-inches wide) is no more than a heavy duty stick you can use as a weapon. It should be durable enough not to break upon multiple impacts.

Things you’ll need to build a Weighted Club are a green stick about 17-inches long by 01 ½-inches wide, a flat rock about 02-inches by 05-inches by 1/2-inch thick, and 10-feet of lashing or durable sting.

How to build and Use the Club:  About 07-inches down from the top of your stick, lash (several wraps) the stick with string or lashing of your choice. This lashing is used to prevent the Weighted Club from splitting completely down the middle.

Next, carefully split lengthwise in-half the 17-inch green stick. Split it about 06 to 07-inches down from the top. Carefully seat-insert the flat rock. Securely lash the part of the stick above the rock.

'13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere.'

Ingredients Needed to Build a David’s Sling:  Similar to the Cloth Sling, but perhaps more effective. To construct the David’s Sling, you’ll need a leather pouch about 02 ½-inches wide by 03 ½-inches long. Insure the leather pouch is pliable. You can also use a piece of canvas, nylon, levi material… – just make sure the pouch material is durable.

The reason I recommend leather material is because of its great durability. Try getting this material from old leather boots (tongue) or go to a shoe repair store, they may have bunches of scraps laying around. You’ll also need two pieces of cord or leather strips about 02-feet in length. For ammunition, you’ll need small rocks about a couple pounds in weight to insure velocity, sure-flight and effective as a weapon in your survival environment.

How To Build And Use The David’s Sling:  Take your pouch and form a 1/8th inch hole at each end (lengthwise) of the pouch. Both apertures should be about 1/4th of an inch from the very edge.

Take each of your cords and tie a round-turn and two half-hitches to each of the holes on the leather pouch.

Next take one end of one of the cords and tie an end-of-rope bowline (big enough to fit around your middle-finger). This loop will be secured around your middle-finger of your throwing hand while the other end is simply grasped by your thumb and index finger of the same hand.

In a safe area place both ends of the cord in your throwing hand (loop secured around your middle-finger and the other cord simply grasped by the thumb and index finger of the same hand). Insure both cords are even and the pouch is level!

Next place a rock in the pouch. Aligned with your target, rock the David’s Sling back and forth and as the arc gets wider begin a clockwise rotation (right-handed person). Increase the rate of rotation to an optimum speed. Once you feel an optimum rotation, just at the horizontal level (or almost pointed at your target), release the cord that is grasped between the thumb and index finger. The rock in the pouch should be propelled to your target at a great speed under the built-up momentum from the centrifugal force of rotations. The David’s Sling requires practice. INSURE you practice in a safe area.

'13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere.'

Ingredients Needed to Build a Cloth Sling:  This unique weapon, you’ll only need a strip of durable cloth 40-inches long by 03 to 04 inches wide, and a round rock about 03 to 04-pounds.

How To Build And Use The Cloth Sling:  Double-up the strip of cloth. One end of the cloth should be securely wrapped around your throwing hand while the other end is simply grasped by the same hand. With the Cloth Sling formed and laying vertical, place your weighted round rock inside the cupped sling.

Begin rocking your Cloth Sling back and forth. Begin rotating the cloth Sling in a clock-wise motion (if your right-handed). Increase the rate of rotations till you reach an optimum rate of rotations.

When you estimate that the Cloth Sling is at an almost horizontal position, release one end of the Cloth Sling. The rock should be propelled down range! To obtain accuracy with this survival weapon, practice is recommended.

'13 weapons to fight off man or beast anytime anywhere.'

Ingredients Needed to Build a Sling Shot:  The Sling Shot can be built from the items I suggested in the Film Canister Survival Kit in Section 11 in the Anytime Anywhere Survival Program (see photo below). Items used are a forked green stick about an inch in diameter – you can find a solid green forked stick anywhere in the woods – just make sure it feels comfortable to hold. 04 rubber bands and for ammo, 02 paper clips or any light wire.

Bobby pins are also excellent. These items aren’t designed to kill your small game, but to stun it temporarily. You will then capture it and dress it.

How To Build And Use The Sling Shot:  Get your forked green stick and carve a notched ring into both arms of the forked stick about 1/2 inch from the top of each forked arm. These carved ringed notches will hold and secure both rubber bands that are wrapped or tied into each arm of the forked stick.

Now wrap or tie in both ends of the rubber bands to each arm of the forked stick.

Next take you ammo (paper clips, bobby pins or other wire), with your left-hand hold the forked stick and with your right-hand hook-in the ammo to the center portion of the rubber band. Pull back the ammo with your thumb and index finger, aim and release.

The paper clip, bobby pins will “zing” down range at your intended target at a high speed.

Remember, this sling shot isn’t designed to kill your small game, only to stun it temporarily so you can capture it.

Industrial Mace:  There’s mace designed to fight off human attackers and then there’s what I call Industrial Mace. Industrial Mace is designed for them ornery attacking critters like bears, moose, mountain lions,… Industrial Mace comes in a large canister and shoots out an enormous amount of burning mace spray out to 30-feet (if winds are in your favor).

Now let’s carry-on with Home Invasion Self-Defense:

Before we start with Home Invasion Self-Defense, let me tell you about marksmanship. I want to tell you CONFIDENCE in your shooting skills will be with you forever. But what if you can’t spend years on the range, shooting thousands and thousands of rounds to build your marksmanship skills to the level where you don’t need to practice shooting for years like most shooters.

Odds are you don’t have the money nor time to shoot on the range for years to build-up your marksmanship skills to my level of MARKSMANSHIP CONFIDENCE. I got you covered in Home Invasion Self-Defense. I’ll tell you how you can defend yourself and family members in your own home without being an expert marksman. Let me tell you real quick how CONFIDENCE will last years when it comes to marksmanship.

Confidence In My Marksmanship Skills:  Most ‘shooting experts’, most or all shooting instructors, will tell you that “marksmanship skills are perishable.” I partly agree but CONFIDENCE CONFIDENCE CONFIDENCE in your shooting skills (short [pistol] or long range [rifle]) will always surface. CONFIDENCE trumps perishable marksmanship skills any day of the week. Here’s proof – once you shoot many times (THOUSANDS OF TIMES) and improve your marksmanship skills to the point you’re an ‘Expert’; if you stop shooting for a few years and go shooting again, you may not shoot with a high score of a few years ago but you will NEVER return to the poor shooting skills you had when you began shooting as a novice. That’s why I say, get away from shooting at paper and go shoot at other targets besides paper! BUILD YOUR CONFIDENCE, it will stay with you for life. Yes, there are more marksmanship tricks and techniques. But that’s for another blog post.

Most Important Note:  To prove my point that ‘CONFIDENCE’ in your shooting ability trumps ‘shooting is a perishable skill,’ let me tell you what I did years ago.

In October of 2004, I got a job working as contract security for Homeland Security. The training was a month long. One of the many tasks I had to pass was a marksmanship test. The highest possible score is 300 points which included timed shooting at different ranges throughout the test.

The instructors gave me an old piece of sh!+ .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver. I was the 1st one up to bat to take the marksmanship tests. I looked at this piece of sh!+ pistol and it was a mess. I looked at the front & rear sights and they were 02 pieces of shiny metal. Lucky for me I knew days ahead that I was going to take this test. They actually issued me this piece of sh!+ pistol days before. But the day for the shoot was unannounced. We were ahead of the training schedule and they decided to give us all the marksmanship test. Anyway, I had a small bottle of bright orange paint with my gear and asked the instructor if I could quickly paint both the front & rear sights. He objected at first but told me to hurry-up.

I took the marksmanship tests stone cold:

  • Without any warm-up (I never shot this pistol before)
  • Without really knowing each shooting segment
  • And I NEVER shot any weapons since I left my last assignment in Panama in 1991 – 13 YEARS earlier.

I shot the entire marksmanship test and I scored 299 points out of 300. I threw-out 01 round out at the 25-yard range. It was out about a ½-inch from scoring a perfect score of 300. The next 02-years, the other 175 guards never tied nor broke my score. And to this very day I still have the highest score. Why?

Cause approximately 02-years later, Department of Homeland Security went with another & easier marksmanship test. And right now, I’m very CONFIDENT, I can still outshoot (pistol & rifle) at least 90% of all military personnel in all military branches of the US Armed Forces.  See About The Author.

Note:  I invented a better technique to ‘zero’ a weapon (M16s) and engage targets (training & combat) and added it as a BONUS in one of my Survival Books – “900 Military Terms For Recruits, Cadets, Veterans,…”

www.survivalexpertbooks.com

Now let me tell you how you can shoot like an expert sharpshooter while defending yourself and your family in your own home against an uninvited intruder wanting to do you and yours severe harm.

Home Invasion Self-Defense:  In my Survival Program I give my subscribers things and actions they could do to slow down or stop a scumbag that enters your home that plans on doing you and yours harm or even death. And I even go as far as moving out of not only that neighborhood but move away from the city cause once a neighborhood goes bad, it is saturated with scumbags and they ain’t moving. I practice what I preach, that’s why I currently live out in the country. It’s just me and the critters. And I’m thinking of moving again with PLENTY more land all around me.

Anyway, this segment is for those of you who seriously fear for your life. If you have someone you know or don’t know that invades your home and wants to severely hurt or kill you, odds are the police will never arrive on time. In most states that I know of, you have the right to protect yourself and your loved ones. Let me start with “Fatal Funnel.”

No B.S.ing Around Home Invasion Defense:  You’re in your bed in a deep sleep. You already know an ex-husband is out to get you so you locked your bedroom door. Suddenly at 2:30 am you are scared awake by a pounding on your bedroom door. Automatically you grab your P22 – .40 calibre Glock pistol that’s underneath your pillow.

You barely open your eyes just as your bedroom door blasts open from a vicious kick. Standing in the doorway is your 06-foot 03-inch tall, 250-pound husband and he’s killer pissed. And my 1st teaching point is: LOOK AT THE HANDS, LOOK AT THE HANDS, LOOK AT THE HANDS.  DO NOT LOOK INTO THE EYES. You’ll get hypnotized and lose your focus. You see a 14-inch carving knife in his right-hand. Do you FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE? Sure you do!

In just a short second or so his 250-pounds will be on top of you and that 14-inch carving knife will enter your body several times. You grab your “already loaded & chambered” Glock and here we go with the Fatal Funnel.

Fatal Funnel:  The fatal funnel is a doorway or hallway. It’s called a fatal funnel cause there is nowhere else to go. You have no choice – you have to go through it to enter the room. Soldiers involved with Close Quarter Battle (CQB) are taught to enter the room and get the hell out of the fatal funnel as fast as possible. Now that knife-yielding scumbag is standing smack dab in the middle of the fatal funnel and because of his size he’s taking up most of the fatal funnel.

You must use the fatal funnel to your advantage. Aim your Glock center mass of the doorway (fatal funnel) – don’t aim at the knife-yielding scumbag – aim center mass at the fatal funnel and pull the trigger at least 03-times – cause you may miss the 1st or 2nd time.

If you look and aim at your attacker, odds are you’ll concentrate on what he’ll do to you, FEAR and PANIC (02 of the Greatest Enemies Of Any Survival Situation) will overcome you and you may not even get off a single shot and if you do, you’ll probably miss all 03 shots anyway. So CONCENTRATE on the center mass of the doorway – fatal funnel – and shoot 03 rounds.

Front Sight   Front Sight   Front Sight:  Remember I was telling you to aim center mass at the fatal funnel (doorway, hallway, window,…) – the doorway? Trust me on this one to fine tune your aim. No matter if you’re a stone beginner or experienced shooter – FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT. Point your weapon at the Fatal Funnel and aim by putting your front sight center mass at the fatal funnel. DO NOT WORRY about the rear sight. Your attacker is so close and there’s no time to be B.S.ing around – put your FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT on the fatal funnel and shoot 03-times. FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT, FRONT SIGHT. Now UNLOAD your weapon and practice this technique several times. Pull out the Magazine first and then eject the bullet and verify the chamber is clear.

1st Note:  I chose a Glock cause that’s one of my most favorite weapons. Why? Cause once it’s loaded, and you have to use it like RIGHT NOW, there’s NO B.S.ing around with taking off the safety. The safety on the Glock is built-in on the front of the trigger itself. Plus, the sights and night sights are exceptional. The sight(s) STAND OUT. You can immediately align your sight(s) like right now. And a Glock in the .40 caliber range (almost 1/2-inch wide bullet) will stop even the biggest and insane attacker. The .40 caliber bullet has the penetration of a 9mm bullet and almost the knock down force of the famous .45 caliber bullet.

2nd Note:  I highly advise you to call your local police and tell them of your situation and ask them what you can legally do (Castle Doctrine) to lawfully defend yourself. If you can’t defend yourself to your liking – MOVE THE F%$# AWAY into a better state like Texas where it’s almost a crime not to have a weapon!
