If I was single, starting out and wanted to SAVE MONEY real quick. I’d get an apartment within VERY CLOSE WALKING DISTANCE to a shopping complex with a WalMart. This way:
- No Car Payment
- No Car Insurance
- No Gas For Car
- No Car Maintenance
- No Mortgage Payment
- No Home Insurance
- No Home Maintenance
- No Yard Maintenance
- No WiFi Payment (WalMart has free WiFi)
- WalMart gives their employees a WalMart 10% Discount Card
- WalMart has everything you need (groceries to clothing). PLUS, you get your WalMart 10% Discount Card.
- WalMart also has a healthcare plan.
- PLUS, if you need to get anywhere, take a bus for a couple lousy bucks.
I’d choose a shopping complex with a WalMart? Why? Not only can you work there, WalMart has everything you need. Plus, let me remind you that WalMart has:
- WalMart gives their employees a WalMart 10% Discount Card. Use it every single time you shop at WalMart.
- WalMart has everything you need (groceries to clothing). PLUS, you get to use your WalMart 10% Discount Card.
- WalMart also has a healthcare plan.
- WalMart has FREE WiFi
- WalMart is always celebrating something in their lunch room (birthdays, sales goals,…) which means FREE food & drinks for employees.
After all your bills, you can EASILY SAVE several hundred dollars per month. And that adds up real quick month after month.
PLUS, living next to a shopping complex, you have other opportunities of employment with all those other stores and restaurants to bring in some EXTRA CASH.
PLUS, you may get a room mate or two to share the rent & utility bills, thus putting MORE MONEY in your pockets!!!
1st MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: If homeless people can survive on the streets, you can ‘kick yourself in the butt’ and stop feeling sorry for yourself and get a FINANCIAL PLAN going to make some money and take care of yourself and live comfortably for starters.
2nd MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: This is based on a single person. What if you were married. You and your spouse could KICK SOME BUTT bringing in the money!

Here’s a list of common stores, fast-food restaurants, auto shops in your local area. This is a generic / general listing of local stores, fast-food restaurants and auto shops in your area. They all start at paying minimum wage. But it adds up if you STICK TO YOUR BUDGET STICK TO YOUR BUDGET STICK TO YOUR BUDGET and take my advice above. Make a check mark or two at the place(s) you would want to work. I’d seriously consider working at WalMart with all their perks:
