Go to a local patent attorney near you (NEVER cross-country).  If you get an honest and experienced one, he’ll tell you whether your invention is worth pursuing or not. OK, let’s get started with Home-Made Bath Oils.

01) Home-Made Bath Oils:  In 1991 an inventor named Jo Malone starting with only $700, invented and started her own line of bath oils. Today her business is worth millions. Look for “Jo Malone Fragrances” at your local store.

02) Hair Accessories:  Inventor Tarina Tarantino designed very affordable jewelry accessories for hair. Her business is currently worth millions of dollars. Look for “Tarina Tarantino Design Jewelry.”

03) Deadly Cleanups:  Since 1993, Ray & Louise Barnes has a business cleaning up after deadly scenes whether they’re crime scenes in the home or deadly car accidents. They do the cleanup that no one else wants to do. There start-up cost was $8,000. In 1998 their company sales grossed $3,000,000.00!

04) Fancy Fortune Cookies:  Rhonda Lashen started her own “Fortunately Yours” fortune cookie company. But she put a different twist to it than ordinary fortune cookies. She makes different flavor fortune cookies, different size fortune cookies, custom made messages inside fortune cookies, different personal gifts inside fortune cookies, and even makes custom-made candy bars with custom-made wrappers with your picture on the wrapper. Her start-up cost was $1,000 and in 1998, her company sales grossed $1,500,000.00!

05) Fancy Shaped Bread:  Amy Scherber of “Amy’s Bread” makes fancy bread in all types of fancy shapes and it taste good too! Her start-up cost was $150,000 and in 1998 her company sales grossed $3,000,000.00!

06) Fancy Cards:  Marc Friedman of “Creative Intelligence” makes custom-made invitation cards, greeting cards,…. for special events of all types. His start-up cost was only $500 and in 1998 gross sales amounted to $1,700,000.00!

07) Healthy Smoothies:  Kirk Perron started Jamba Juice which is a healthy mixture of fruit, frozen yogurt and juice. His tasty smoothies grossed more than $62,000,000 in sales in 1998 and he only started with $50,000.

08) License Plate Luggage:  Robb Abrandegee & Eva Demarco of “Little Earth Productions” take trash like license plates and makes them into all sort of things like purses, CD holder, luggage, boxes,… Their business grosses at least $1,000,000 a year.

09) Cooking Bacon:  Eight-year old Abby Fleck invented a better way to cook bacon in a microwave. It’s nothing more than 03 small rack to hang bacon. When it cooks, the hot bacon fat just drips into a bottom container. Her start-up cost was only $300 and in 1998 gross sales amounted to $3,000,000.00! See the “MAK N BACON” at your local store. I bought one several years ago and I’m still using it now and then!
